David Goffin’s 15 minutes of fame appeared to come and go in 2012, when he made the most of a second chance. As a lucky loser at the French Open, the Belgian advanced to the fourth round before falling to Roger Federer. But since then, the 25-year-old has established himself as a solid pro, and last season he even cracked the Top 15. Highlights included a fourth-round run at Wimbledon, two tour finals, and a trip to the Davis Cup final.

Though on the smaller side at 5'11", Goffin has a precise game with near perfect timing off both wings. He’s been on the verge of upsetting the game’s best players, having pushed Novak Djokovic and Federer to decisive sets last season. He won’t catch anyone by surprise this year, but as he becomes the hunted, Goffin’s game looks good enough to overcome it.
