The former world No. 1 said she re-aggravated an existing injury

Ana Ivanovic will play the Miami Open after undergoing an examination for a knee injury that she suffered at Indian Wells.

Ivanovic fell, 6-2, 6-0, to Karolina Pliskova in Indian Wells, and said she re-aggravated an existing injury. But with doctors saying she is fit enough to compete, the world No. 18 is in Miami for next week's event.

The former No. 1 has played five tournaments coming into the Miami event.
