LONDON—Sam Querrey followed up his stunning upset of Novak Djokovic by defeating Nicolas Mahut in the fourth round of Wimbledon, but not before allowing himself to enjoy his triumph.

"I'm not going to lie—After the Novak match, I watched every highlight I could over and over," he said with a laugh, adding that he plans to stay in his routine. "I'm just going to keep kind of enjoying myself, hang with my friends and family, practice tomorrow, get ready for the next match."

Querrey said he was anxious to back up his defeat of Djokovic with another victory, and also to reach his first Grand Slam quarterfinal.

"Yeah, it's real exciting,” the 28-year-old said. “Any time you get to make a quarterfinal, it's great. For mine to be at Wimbledon's, [it’s] really exciting, really special. Yeah, something I'll always get to kind of have with me."

He will play Milos Raonic—who came from two sets down to beat David Goffin in the fourth round—in the quarterfinals.

Querrey is No. 41 in the rankings.
