Wimbledon quarterfinalist Cibulkova gets married on schedule

The Slovakian nearly had to postpone the affair.

LONDON—Her wedding plans were almost postponed as she kept winning at Wimbledon, but Dominika Cibulkova got married as scheduled on the day of the women's final.

The 27-year-old Slovak reached the quarterfinals at the All England Club, and returned to Bratislava for her wedding to fiancé Miso Navaro, with crowds gathering to greet the couple at the location of the ceremony.

According to Slovak reports, Cibulkova will not change her official WTA name.

She is next scheduled to compete in Stanford.
