The ATP tour has said that Nick Kyrgios has agreed to see a sports psychologist under an ATP-approved program, indicating that his suspension will be reduced from seven weeks to three.

"Nick has taken up the care plan on offer to him from the ATP,” the ATP said in a statement, according to the *Australian Associated Press*. “The details and contents of the plan are strictly confidential.”

Following the Australian's apparent lack of effort during his second-rounder in Shanghai, the ATP fined him and suspended him for seen weeks. The tour said that the suspension would be reduced to three weeks if Kyrgios saw a sports psychologist or an ATP-approved professional.

The reduction will allow Kyrgios to return to competitive play in a week, though he is not scheduled to play any other tour events this season.
