Svetlana Kuznetsova has taken a wild card into the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, as the chase for the final spots in the WTA Finals will extend into next week.

Kuznetsova is currently No. 11 in the standings, but she moved into the Tianjin semifinals on Friday. With a victory in Moscow, she could still qualify for the WTA Finals.

Fellow contenders Dominika Cibulkova and Carla Suarez Navarro have reached the semifinals in Linz, and are also scheduled to play Moscow next week. The WTA Premier tournament awards the winner 470 points.

Madison Keys, No. 7 in the standings, is also through to the Linz semifinals, but she’s not currently scheduled to play Moscow. Garbine Muguruza, who, at No. 6, is slightly ahead of Keys, is also competing in Linz. She has reached the quarterfinals.

Johanna Konta, who suffered an abdominal injury in Hong Kong, is not playing next week. Cibulkova could move in front of her by reaching the final in Linz.

Angelique Kerber, Serena Williams, Simona Halep, Agnieszka Radwanska and Karolina Pliskova have already secured berths at the WTA Finals.
