Simona Halep has won three tournaments and $3.3 million dollars during the 2016 season. At the WTA Finals in Singapore, she’ll have at least three more matches to help her add to those impressive totals.
On Friday, the Romanian was drawn into the Red Group along with world No. 1 Angelique Kerber, Madison Keys and Dominika Cibulkova.
Halep’s head-to-head records against all three of her round-robin opponents: 4-3 vs. Kerber, 4-1 vs. Keys, 2-3 vs. Cibulkova; 10-7 overall.
In her history at the season-ending championships, Halep owns a 4-4 record, reaching the final in 2014 but failing to emerge from the group stage last season.
