Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is set to become a father next season.
The Frenchman, 31, told French newspaper *L'Equipe* that he and his girlfriend, Noura El Shwekh, are expecting their first child.
"Having a child changes your priorities," he said. "I am convinced, for me, it will be something very positive and give me even more motivation."
The child is due in the first half of the season.
Tsonga reached the third round of the Paris Masters on Wednesday with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Albert Ramos-Vinolas. He’ll play Kei Nishikori next.
