While most players have finished their season, Petra Kvitova is just getting in gear.

The Czech went 16-15 to begin the year, but is 26-7 since the end of the hard court swing. She has also added two wins this week in the WTA Elite Trophy event in Zhuhai, and reached the finals with a win over Shuai Zhang on Saturday.

Despite her success, Kvitova says that she is also tired from a long season.

"Everybody has small injuries and the body is not just working that well...so I'm just doing what I have to...physios and just resting," she told press.

Her fatigue hasn't shown though, with the two-time Grand Slam champion reaching the semifinals in Wuhan, and winning Luxembourg to get back to the top 15. Currently looking for a coach, she seems to have found her game on her own.

"I think it's a good finish to the season better than the first half...I'm glad that the game is there again...I'm playing more aggressive than I did before," she said.

Kvitova isn't done yet. She will be playing another big event later this week—the Fed Cup final against France.
