Grigor Dimitrov, who defeated David Goffin on Sunday to win the Sofia Open, says that he is exhausted, but thrilled that he finally was able to win in his native Bulgaria.
The 25-year-old thanked the 12,000 partisan ticket holders who roared as he defeated his Belgian opponent in straight sets.
“Without you, I could never win this tournament," Dimitrov told the crowd.
It was his first time playing an ATP tournament at home, with the world No. 12 deciding not to play the inaugural Sofia Open in 2016.
