Milos Raonic says he will not return to the tour until he is fully healthy again.

The world No. 4 withdrew from his third-round match in Miami with the same hamstring strain that led him to withdraw from the final of Delray Beach.

The Canadian acknowledged that he pushed himself to return for the hard-court Masters events, as this surface tends to suit him. But he will not do the same with less favorable clay-court tournaments coming up.

“Obviously, the goal [with] these tournaments being on hard courts, and so forth, was that I can come back as soon as I feel ready," Raonic told reporters in Miami following his withdrawal. "I think that that perspective is going to change, to come back when I feel like I’m 100 percent.

"That could be in two weeks. That could be a little bit longer."

Raonic has been consistently injured at recent tournaments, but had not experienced any problems in Miami until his first match.

"I felt like I came here and didn't have any issues through training," he said. "I think it's just something, probably my body giving me a warning sign and so forth, that maybe I'm not at this stage."

Raonic's withdrawal sent Jared Donaldson into the fourth round.
