What began in Yokohama, Florianopolis, Nanjing, Delhi, Miami and Seoul ended in Paris, the meeting place for the world's top junior tennis players each May. The French have another word for it—rendezvous—and for the fourth consecutive year, the Rendez-Vous à Roland-Garros in partnership with Longines awarded two of those talented players admittance into the world's most prestigious clay-court tournament.

After thousands of tennis balls were struck and thousands of airline miles were traveled by 667 total players, Japan's Anri Nagata and India's Abhimanyu Vannemreddy were respectively awarded wild cards into the girls' and boys' junior Roland Garros tournaments.

On Court No. 6, Nagata (pictured below) defeated Cori Gauff, the 13-year-old American who won the qualifying event at Boca West Country Club just outside of Miami, 6-4, 6-4. Vannemreddy (pictured above) defeated Hikaru Shiraishi, of Japan, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.

All four finalists emerged from a round-robin event comprised of the champions from each of the six feeder tournaments, which took place Friday at the C.A. Montrouge courts, about a half hour's drive from Roland Garros.

Gauff, who has plainly stated that her goal is to become the No. 1 player in the world, was joined in the round-robin event by the boys' champion in Boca Raton, Michael Heller.
