Novak Djokovic said playing Eastbourne was a good decision following his second-round win against Vasek Pospisil.

The Serb, who fell in the quarterfinals of the French Open, changed his schedule and took a wild card less than a week before the tournament began.

"I'm glad that I came here to Eastbourne," said Djokovic, adding that he "had a great couple of days of training with good players, different styles of game."

Though his opening match against the Canadian was delayed by a day because of rain, Djokovic returned to complete a straight-sets win against Pospisil, who likes the surface.

"I felt good on the court, considering it's the first match,” the world No. 4 said. “I have played against an opponent that has a really good game for grass. It was a really, really solid win. I'm happy with it."

Djokovic plays Donald Young in the next round.
