Petra Kvitova doesn't want to talk about her potential title chances at Wimbledon, saying she just wants to play as much as she can at the start of her comeback.

Kvitova won the WTA event at Birmingham, just her second event since returning from a knife attack that left her hand badly injured. With no obvious favorite for the women's event at Wimbledon, the two-time champion will be among the top names in the field, but isn't putting herself among the favorites.

"I don't, because I didn't play six months, and I'm just here to play as many matches as I can, and I'm not really seeing myself as one of them who can win," she told press before the Birmingham final. "For me it doesn't really matter like who is playing. I'm just thinking and focusing on myself."

But the Czech does see a big improvement in her play from her first event back at the French Open.

"I couldn't have imagined to have a better comeback than I am having now,” she said during the week. “You know, Paris was a bit weird and strange, and I couldn't play the best.

“And I am happy that I am able to show good tennis here."

Kvitova is now No. 12 in the rankings.
