With the 2018 season upon us, some of Tennis Channel's experts sat down to give their thoughts on the future of the WTA tour. The panel consisted of Tracy Austin, Paul Annacone and Lindsay Davenport, and you can see who each of them singled out here:

Davenport believes Belinda Bencic, who has already accomplished much in her young, up-and-down career, will return near the top of the rankings. Bencic is the world No. 74, but she has been playing a lot better as of late.

Annacone went with 18-year-old CiCi Bellis as 2018's breakout star. Bellis still has some maturing to do both physically and mentally, but she is an undeniably unique talent.

And finally, Austin picked Ashleigh Barty as her breakout player of the year. Barty finished the season as the world No. 17, and she had some impressive victories late in the year.

As for the Player of the Year, the three of them all predicted that...Serena Williams would finish the 2018 season on top. Williams recently had her first child, but she is expected to be a full-strength to start the year.

What are your thoughts on these thoughts?
