Rafael Nadal injured his knee at the ATP Finals, but he should be ready for the start of the 2018 season. (AP)

Rafael Nadal as held off on beginning his offseason training to give his injured knee extra time to recover, but that has also allowed the Spaniard to go on vacation for longer than usual.

Nadal has been in the Bahamas with friends and family, and he even stopped to watch Tiger Woods making his comeback at the Hero World Challenge on the island.
 


Woods had attended Nadal's semifinal match at the US Open, sitting in his box.
 


Nadal is scheduled to return to training this week in Mallorca, with the Abu Dhabi exhibition his first scheduled event of the season. He withdrew during the ATP Finals with a knee injury.
