With the destination of the Davis Cup determined, the professional tennis season has come to a close. Thus, we begin our look back at 2017, a memorable year on and off the court. Our Top 10 On-Court Moments, and our Top 10 Off-Court Moments, will remind you of everything that transpired.

Tennis is rarely a setting for Hollywood movies, but this season saw not just one but two movies about the sport hitting the big screen. There was Battle of the Sexes, a blockbuster project featuring Emma Stone and Steve Carell, about the famed showdown between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. Borg McEnroe, a smaller project on another famed showdown between Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe that also featured Borg’s son Leo playing a young Borg, accompanied it.

On top of that, a documentary-based film has also been released about Nick Bollettieri, and tennis is also the subject of a current off-Broadway play. If the arts have a new favorite sport, this just might be it.

Battle of the Sexes was one of the more fun movies of the year, and any fan of the sport should try to find a way to watch it:
