Fresh off of winning the decider in Argentina's Davis Cup tie against Chile, Guido Pella will take on 20-year-old Stefan Kozlov in Houston on Tuesday.

With two impressive—but volatile—players, it should come as no surprise that it is our Tennis Channel Plus Match of the Day.

Bag Check - Stefan Kozlov:

Kozlov is the more talented of the two, but the youngster is also more erratic. The former junior Australian Open and Wimbledon finalist is off to a rough start in 2018, just 6-8 on the year. The American, whose parents are Russian, has, however, won two straight matches heading into Tuesday, as he had to go through qualifying just to get to the main draw.

Pella did not need to qualify for this event, but he has also had a forgettable 2018 thus far. If you took away the Argentine's Davis Cup victory over Christian Garin,  this has arguably been his worst season yet.

The 27-year-old should, however, be feeling pretty good heading into this match. The two players have never played one another, but Pella has one clear advantage. Despite the fact that the fans will likely be in Kozlov's corner, Pella is the one that is the far better clay-court player.
