WATCH—Manhattan's Empire State Building pays homage to Roland Garros with the colors of the French flag:

On Tuesday, New Yorkers saw a different kind of red, white and blue—the colors of the French flag, shining from the lights of the Empire State Building.

In celebration of its two-week French Open coverage, Tennis Channel worked with the iconic New York City landmark to add the tricolor to Manhattan’s skyline during the first week of the tournament.

The French Open has never been honored by the Empire State Building before. Based on these striking images, let's hope this beautiful pairing of color and darkness returns next year.
