Juan Martin del Potro has a Grade I groin tear and could miss the French Open. The Argentine said he experienced the injury during the first set against David Goffin in the quarterfinals of Rome, playing for several more games before retiring.

"I felt something unusual in the leg during the first set," del Potro was quoted as saying by EFE. "I could not move properly because of the pain."

Del Potro said he would begin rehab and attempt to return for the French Open, where would be the fifth seed.
