On Tuesday, Borna Coric and Stefanos Tsitsipas meet in the round of 64 of the Internazionali BNL d'Italia. With both of these young players performing at a high level in 2018, it was a no-brainer to make this our Tennis Channel Plus Match of the Day.

Coric is coming off of a devastating defeat to Dominic Thiem in the round of 16 in Madrid. The 21-year-old lost a hard-fought three-setter after serving for the match in the second. But with his form unquestionably at a high level, he should prove to be a tough opponent for Tsitsipas.

Match point from Tsitsipas' win over Thiem in Barcelona quarterfinals:

With that being the case, Tsitsipas will need to bring his best stuff on Tuesday. The 19-year-old defeated both Mikhail Kukushkin and Dusan Lajovic in qualifiers to earn the right to play in this event, but he has already shown that he is a very good clay-court player this year.

The former junior No. 1 from Greece made it all the way to the final at the Barcelona Open, before losing to Rafael Nadal in straight sets. On his way there, Tsitsipas beat established clay-court players like Albert Ramos-Vinolas, Dominic Thiem and Pablo Carreno Busta, all without dropping a set. He then followed that tournament up with a semifinal appearance in Estoril.

This will be the first head-to-head matchup between Coric and Tsitsipas, which makes it tough to really get a gauge for who will have the edge. Coric is as well-rounded as they come, so there's no part of his game that can truly be exploited. Tsitsipas, however, plays his best tennis on clay, so he'll be feeling confident as well. No matter who prevails, it will be worth watching.
