Puig also said she would be working with another coach, Othmane Garma, along with a new trainer and hitting partner. The world No. 59 is training at Murray's XS Tennis academy in Chicago.

"Big things are coming," she said.

The 25-year-old is an Olympic gold medalist who reached a career-high No. 27 in the rankings in 2016. But she finished the next two seasons below the Top 50, and is 2-4 for this season.

Puig previously worked with Juan Todero as her coach.
