Bianca Andreescu is fresh off the tournament of her life, as the 18-year-old beat Dominika Cibulkova, Qiang Wang, Garbine Muguruza, Elina Svitolina and Angelique Kerber on her way to winning the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

That WTA title was the first of her career, but the way Andreescu performed showed that she isn't going to be a one-hit wonder. She has the game to continue to rise the ranks, and it wouldn't be surprising if she joins the sport's elite in the near future.

With a run like the one Andreescu had, it wouldn't have been shocking if she were to suffer a letdown at the Miami Open. But that hasn't been the case yet, as the Canadian is now into the round of 32 after wins over Irina-Camelia Begu and Sofia Kenin.

Begu gave Andreescu a really hard time in the opening round, as the 18-year-old won that match 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-2. Her back was as far against the wall as could possibly be, but she was able to come away with the victory.

The meeting with Kenin was a lot more straightforward, as the Canadian was in control from the start. The match was never in jeopardy of getting away from her, which likely means that Andreescu has found her groove a bit in South Beach.

If she isn't too exhausted from her championship run in Palm Springs, Andreescu is going to be a tough out in Miami. And with some help along the way, perhaps she'll even make a run at the Sunshine Double.
