Without fitness, it’s tough to play good tennis. Martina Navratilova took fitness to its ultimate level, which is why she played so well for so many years.

Another often-overlooked fitness guru was Roy Emerson. He would go a mile running forward, and then another mile running backward. That’s dedication.
