Each day until the US Open, we'll highlight one statistic from Serena Williams' unparalleled career that will in all likelihood never be broken.

Serena Williams has won more Grand Slam titles in singles than any other player in the Open Era, but she’s also been legendary in doubles alongside her sister, Venus—which brings us to our latest Serena stat that may never be broken:

Going 14-0 in Grand Slam doubles finals with Venus

Not only is the Williams sisters’ 14-0 record in Grand Slam doubles finals mindblowing, it’s historically mindblowing—it’s the best unbeaten record in Grand Slam finals for any player or team across all disciplines (men’s or women’s singles or doubles, or mixed doubles) and in the history of the sport (Open Era or all-time).

They won their last eight major finals in a row in straight sets, too:

  • 1999 Roland Garros final: d. Hingis/Kournikova, 6-3, 6-7 (2), 8-6
  • 1999 US Open final: d. Rubin/Testud, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4
  • 2000 Wimbledon final: d. Halard-Decugis/Sugiyama, 6-3, 6-2
  • 2001 Australian Open final: d. Davenport/Morariu, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4
  • 2002 Wimbledon final: d. Ruano Pascual/Suarez, 6-2, 7-5
  • 2003 Australian Open final: d. Ruano Pascual/Suarez, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3
  • 2008 Wimbledon final: d. Raymond/Stosur, 6-2, 6-2
  • 2009 Australian Open final: d. Hantuchova/Sugiyama, 6-3, 6-3
  • 2009 Wimbledon final: d. Stosur/Stubbs, 7-6 (4), 6-4
  • 2009 US Open final: d. Black/Huber, 6-2, 6-2
  • 2010 Australian Open final: d. Black/Huber, 6-4, 6-3
  • 2010 Roland Garros final: d. Peschke/Srebotnik, 6-2, 6-3
  • 2012 Wimbledon final: d. Sestini Hlavackova/Hradecka, 7-5, 6-4
  • 2016 Wimbledon final: d. Babos/Shvedova, 6-3, 6-4

The Williams sisters have won three Olympic gold medals in doubles together, too, and they won all of those gold medal matches in straight sets, in Sydney in 2000 (d. Boogert/Oremans, 6-1, 6-1), Beijing in 2008 (d. Medina Garrigues/Ruano Pascual, 6-2, 6-0) and London in 2012 (d. Sestini Hlavackova/Hradecka, 6-4, 6-4).

Rafael Nadal has a similarly mindblowing 14-0 record in finals at Roland Garros—but across all four of the Grand Slams he's 22-8.
