Across the North Sea, Taylor Fritz kicked off his grass season by playing his first doubles tournament since October 2024.

Teaming up with Jiri Lehecka in Stuttgart, Germany, the two closed out a 10-4 match tiebreak after splitting sets with Hendrik Jebens and Albano Olivetti.

While Fritz’s last doubles appearance was at the ATP Masters 1000 Paris, his last doubles win was a month prior at Laver Cup with Team World partner Ben Shelton.

Fritz, Lehecka and Shelton are in the singles draw, along with Americans Brandon Nakashima and Learner Tien, who battled through their first-round matches only to meet each other in the second.
