In recent times, Novak Djokovic has commemorated a handful of his wins with a violin celebration.

The move was inspired by his daughter Tara, who began playing the instrument early last year, and Djokovic introduced it on the grandest of stages during a run to the 2024 Wimbledon final. The Serb later brought it back en route to striking gold at the Paris Olympics and a Miami Open runner-up finish among other events.

The gesture has seemingly hit all the right notes. In a new advertisement for Asics promoting its upcoming New York Collection, Djokovic pulls out a real violin to ‘play along’ with a section from The 4 Seasons, Antonio Vivaldi’s most iconic work of art.

Captioned the sportswear brand, “Control the rhythm. Unlock the feeling. From his first step to his final shot, Novak plays with a rhythm only he can hear, and somehow, we feel every beat of it.”

Djokovic has reached the semifinals at the season’s first three Grand Slam events in his continued quest to lift a 25th major trophy. The 38-year-old will come into the US Open without any recent North American hard-court matches, having pulled out of Toronto and Cincinnati.

Before beginning another quest at a historic major title as the projected No. 7 seed, Djokovic is entered to play mixed doubles with fellow Serb Olga Danilovic. The revamped, two-day competition begins Tuesday, August 18 as part of Fan Week at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
